Level: Easy
Serves: 15
Ingredients
- ½ cups Butter, cut into tablespoons
- ½ cups brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons White sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-½ cup Plain flour
- ½ teaspoon Baking soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Chocolate chips
Preparation
Put the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for a few seconds, until about half of the butter is melted and the other half is still in soft pieces.
In a bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Mix to combine.
Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Add the chocolate chips. Refrigerate cookie dough for 15-30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Using a cookie scoop (I used the #40 size), place the dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the top is barely golden. (I usually cook for 8-8 1/2 minutes each batch). Let the cookies set on the pan for 2 minutes, then remove them to a cooling rack.
