Level: Easy
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 4 slices White bread
- ½ cups Milk
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- ½ Onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoons Salt
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
- FOR THE SAUCE:
- 1 box (Size 10 1/2 Oz) Mushroom Soup
- 1 box (Size 10 1/2 Oz) Chicken Soup
- 1 cup Milk
Preparation
In a large bowl, soak the bread slices in the milk for 3 to 5 minutes. Add ground beef, eggs, chopped onion, baking powder, salt and pepper. Mix to combine.
Using a cookie scoop, shape the mixture into 1-2 inch meatballs. Place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and freeze for 30-45 minutes.
When slightly firm, working in batches, brown the meatballs in a large skillet, then place in a 2 ½ to 3 quart baking dish.
Once all the meatballs are browned (don’t worry if they are not completely cooked, they will end up in the oven), mix the sauce by mixing the cream of mushroom soup and the cream of chicken with milk. Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the dish and cook for 1 hour at 350°F.
