Nothing says summer like a piece of cold watermelon and a glass of cold lemonade. In this article, I combine my love for watermelon and lemonade to make this delicious Watermelon Lemonade.

Ingredients
- FOR THE SIMPLE SYRUP:
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup The water
- FOR THE WATERMELON LEMONADE:
- 4 cups Cold water
- 1 cup Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 6 cups Watermelon, seedless
- 8 sheets mint
Preparation
For the simple syrup, heat the sugar and water in a small saucepan over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. The sugar will turn from cloudy to clear when dissolved.
For the watermelon lemonade, add cold water to a pitcher. Pour the simple syrup into the pitcher. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Puree the watermelon in a food processor or blender. Filter the watermelon puree with a fine mesh. You should end up with 4 cups of watermelon juice.
Add the watermelon juice to the pitcher. Crush the mint leaves and add them to the pitcher. Mix well and enjoy or refrigerate.
