Level: Easy
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- FOR THE MEATBALLS:
- 2 tablespoons Hot water
- ½ teaspoon Tartar cream
- ¼ teaspoons Baking soda
- 1 pound Minced pork
- 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
- ½ tablespoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- ¼ teaspoons Ground clove
- FOR THE BROCCOLI:
- 1 pound Broccoli florets
- ½ cups Mayonnaise
- ¼ cups Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon Garlic salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 475ºF with the pan and the silicone mat inside the oven.
In a small bowl, combine water, cream of tartar and baking soda.
In a large bowl, mix the rest of the meatball ingredients, including the baking soda water, well. Form meatballs with about 1 tablespoon of mixture each. Place the meatballs in the refrigerator while preparing the broccoli.
Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic and garlic salt to a large bowl and stir until well blended. Place the broccoli florets in the bowl and toss with a spoon until each piece of broccoli is evenly coated.
Remove the mold from the oven. On one half, spread the roasted broccoli. Be sure not to clutter the pan. On the other half, place the meatballs about 1/2 to 1 inch apart. Depending on the size of your pan, you may need two pans.
Roast for 20 to 30 minutes, tossing broccoli halfway through cooking and checking meatballs for doneness. Serve!
Remarks:
• Leftovers of these are amazing with fried eggs and potatoes. Fry the eggs with a little paprika in the pan before adding the eggs.
• Mix the meatballs with whatever ingredients you can think of! Broccoli will be good with just about any meatball you can think of.
