Quince Jam Sour Gin Cocktail is a fresh, fruity, floral and spicy sweet and sour gin cocktail that uses rustic quince apple jam as sweetener and flavoring to balance the tangy lemon juice, finished with a garnish of orange zest. The rustic quince apple jam recipe is available on my website and in the TK recipe box, and is homemade from A to Z, flavored with coriander, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom and vanilla pod.

Level: Easy
Serves: 1
Ingredients
- 30 milliliters Gin (I used Poor Tom’s strawberry gin)
- 15 milliliters Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Rustic apple and quince jam (see my blog or the TK recipe box)
- 5 blocks Ice
- 1 piece Orange zest without the pith, to make an orange twist
Preparation
Add gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, rustic quince apple jam and ice to a cocktail shaker. Close the shaker. Shake for 20-30 seconds until well blended and very cold.
Strain into a prepared cocktail glass. Gently bend a piece of orange peel over the cocktail glass to squeeze out the oil and twist the peel into a twist. Pass the twist around the rim of the glass and garnish the finished cocktail with this orange twist.
