Ingredients
- 1 litre Water (to steep the tea)
- 6 Regular tea bags (I use Lipton)
- 1 box (Size 15 oz.) Peaches in juice, pureed in blender
- 1 litre Cold water
- FOR THE SIMPLE SYRUP:
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
Preparation
Boil the water in a large saucepan. Add the tea bags and steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and throw them away.
While the tea steeps, prepare a simple syrup: In a separate small saucepan, combine the water and sugar and bring to a boil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
Pour the simple syrup into the saucepan with the tea and stir. In a heatproof pitcher, combine the tea with the mashed peaches and cold water. Refrigerate until use.
Serve the tea over ice with fresh mint and peach slices if desired. Enjoy!
