Level: Easy
Ingredients
- ⅓ cups Packaged light brown sugar
- ¼ cups Peanut Butter
- ¼ cups Dear
- 4 tablespoons Butter without salt
- 2 cups Old fashioned oats
- ⅔ cups Crispy rice cereal
- ¾ cups Mini chocolate chips
- ½ cups Mini M&M’s
Preparation
Combine brown sugar, peanut butter, honey and butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute (or until butter is melted). Stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in rolled oats and crispy rice cereal until evenly coated. Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes in the refrigerator.
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil, making sure the foil hangs over each side so you can remove the granola bars and cut them easily.
Remove mixture from refrigerator and stir in chocolate chips and mini M&Ms, then press mixture into prepared dish. Press down firmly on the bars with your hands so the candies don’t fall out when cutting.
Let the bars cool for several hours or place them in the refrigerator to speed up the process. Cut into bars and serve!
