This Kentucky 75 is a great way to start the new year off right! If you’re a bourbon lover craving a champagne cocktail, this is the one.

Ingredients
- 2 ounces, liquid Bourbon
- ½ ounce, liquid Fresh lemon juice
- ¾ ounce, liquid simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Chilled champagne, cava or prosecco, for garnish
Preparation
Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters into a champagne glass or similar-sized cocktail glass. Stir gently and garnish with champagne, cava or prosecco. (I used Prosecco) Garnish with a slice of candied or fresh lemon.
Note: To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat until the sugar is dissolved and use it for all your cocktail needs. For this recipe, I actually used brown sugar simple syrup, which goes really well with bourbon.
