- 1 cup Water
- ½ cups Corn syrup
- 2 cups Sugar
- 4 tablespoons Dear
- 4 teaspoons Baking soda
Preparation
In a medium saucepan, heat the water, corn syrup, sugar and honey over medium-high heat. Attach a candy thermometer. Measure the baking soda and set it aside.
Prepare a baking dish with parchment paper. I use a 9×13 baking dish lightly sprayed and lined with parchment paper.
When the sugar mixture reads 300ºF (148ºC), stir in the baking soda. This will quickly cause the sugar mixture to foam and bubble. Quickly pour into the prepared baking dish. Leave this set for 1 to 2 hours.
Once solidified, break it up or cut it into pieces. Use it to top a cake, sprinkle on ice cream, or just snack!
