- FOR THE SIMPLE HONEY STRAWBERRY SYRUP:
- 1 cup Dear
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Sliced strawberries
- FOR THE LEMONADE:
- ¾ cups Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 cups Water
- ¾ cups Strawberry Honey Simple Syrup
Preparation
For the strawberry honey simple syrup:
In a medium saucepan, combine honey and water. Place over medium heat and stir until the honey has melted into the water; it will take a few minutes. Increase heat to medium-high, stir in strawberries and bring to a boil. Once it begins to simmer, simmer for 3-4 minutes or until the strawberries have started to break down. You may need to adjust your heat up or down to maintain a simmer.
Carefully strain the strawberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer and let cool to room temperature. Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week in a closed container.
For the lemonade:
In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, water and 3/4 cup simple syrup. Refrigerate until ready to use. Serve over ice!
