- 1 pound Fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoons Pepper
- 4 slices Pre-cooked bacon
Preparation
Fill a large pot ¾ full with water and add a good pinch of salt. Bring to a boil. Boil the green beans for about 2-3 minutes or longer if you prefer softer beans. Immediately remove them from the heat, place them in a colander and rinse thoroughly with cold water.
Heat a cast iron or other skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Pat the green beans dry with a paper towel and add them to the skillet. Cut the bacon into pieces and add it to the pan. Sauté for about 5 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
