Serves: 4
Ingredients
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
- 1 pound French green beans
- 4 slices Bacon, uncooked
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried basil
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon Sea salt
- ¼ teaspoons Ground fresh pepper
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
Heat a large pot of water to boiling. Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add the green beans and cook for only 2 minutes. Drain the hot water from the beans and place them in an ice water bath to immediately stop the cooking process. Dry the beans.
Divide the beans evenly into bundles. Wrap a slice of bacon around the middle of each package.
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Brush the bundles with green beans and bacon.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes. Turn the oven to broil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Stay close because broilers are unpredictable.
