Fresh pear pie, a refreshing change from the more typical apple pie, is a simple and enjoyable way to enjoy delicate fruit. The advantage of this recipe is that it is gluten-free!

Ingredients
- 2 whole Gluten-free pastries or pie crusts
- 5 cups fresh pears
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- ¼ cups Organic raw sugar
- ¼ cups Organic Corn Starch OR Arrowroot Starch
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoons Sea salt
Preparation
Mix the pear slices with the lemon juice.
Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
Combine sugar, starch, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl. Stir the mixture with the pear slices.
Pour everything into a prepared 9-inch pie crust. Top with a top crust. Poke a few holes in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Bake 10 minutes at 450ºF. Reduce heat to 350ºF and continue cooking for 30 to 40 minutes, until pears are tender when pierced with a knife.
