Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 60 milliliters Milk
- 60 milliliters Heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Mixed spices (ground cinnamon, star anise, ginger)
- 50 grams Butter without salt
- 12 slices (1 inch thick) French baguette, 1 to 2 days
- FOR THE CINNAMON HONEY SAUCE:
- 50 grams Butter without salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 5 tablespoons Dear
- 30 milliliters Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 50 milliliters Heavy cream
Preparation
In a bowl or baking dish, whisk the eggs, milk, cream and spices until well blended.
Melt the butter in a pan. Dip each slice of bread in the batter and add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes. Flip each slice of bread and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
For the honey and cinnamon sauce or dip, simply melt the butter in a saucepan and add the cinnamon, honey and lemon juice. Stir until well blended. Gradually pour in the cream, stirring constantly. Slowly bring to a boil and stir for another minute.
Pour over toast or dip each French toast and enjoy!
