Add a little green to your holiday meal with this super quick side dish. Do this while you carve the turkey and high five your health.
- 1 pound Asparagus, ends trimmed
- 1 whole Lemon, halved
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Coarse salt to taste
Preheat grill to high heat. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet. Place lemon halves cut side up on same baking sheet. Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Grill the asparagus for 5 to 7 minutes with the grill placed about 8 inches below the broiler. Check the asparagus every few minutes and remove it when it’s tender and just beginning to blacken around the edges.
When the asparagus is out of the oven, squeeze the blackened lemon over the top (use as much or as little as you like!) and serve immediately.
