Level: Easy
Ingredients
- 2-½ cups Old fashioned oats
- ⅔ cups All purpose flour
- ½ cups Dark brown sugar
- ⅓ cups chopped almonds
- 2 teaspoons Allspice
- ½ cups Dear
- ½ cups coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon Almond extract
- ½ cups Chopped dried figs
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 250ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, almonds and allspice. Mix well.
In another bowl, combine honey and coconut oil. Microwave until melted. Stir then add the almond extract. Pour the melted honey mixture over the oat mixture. Stir.
Spread the granola mixture on a baking dish. Bake for about 60 minutes. Stir briefly, leaving lumps (that’s the good part). Add the chopped figs, then let cool.
Break up overly large bunches. Store in an airtight container. I recommend mason jars.
