A great way to start the morning, or brunch for that matter. A larger cut-out bagel, with ham, cheese and an egg in the middle. He was a real winner.

Level: Easy
Ingredients
- 1 whole Regular bagel (or use your favorite style)
- 1 slice American cheese
- 1 slice Charcuterie Ham
- 1 tbsp Butter without salt
- 1 whole Egg
- Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
Preparation
Start by cutting out the center of your bagel. I use my handy ring cutter, about 2 inches in diameter, something large enough to accommodate the egg and cook it evenly.
Do the same with the American cheese and the ham.
Heat the skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Place bottom half of bagel over melted butter, crack egg into hole, then top with cheese and ham. Garnish with the top of the bagel.
Season the top of the egg with a pinch of salt and cracked pepper, then cover with the lid, steaming the egg a little to cook to your desired doneness. Once the egg is well cooked, dress and serve.
Not only is this thing a joy to look at, it’s a thing of beauty to eat. This American cheese is crisp around the edges, with the ham, creamy on the inside, the lightly buttered bagel and the egg is perfectly cooked and creamy.
