Ingredients
- 2 books ground turkey
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 Medium onion, finely chopped
- 1-½ tbsp Dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup Fresh breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1-¼ cup Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce, divided
- ⅓ cups Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray a large casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped onion, dried oregano, freshly ground black pepper, breadcrumbs, eggs and 3/4 cup barbecue sauce. Using clean hands or a sturdy spoon, stir until well blended. In a large baking dish, shape a wide loaf as you don’t want it too thick.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining barbecue sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Spread 1/3 of the glaze over the meatloaf and place in the oven. Be sure to wash the spoon afterwards as it touched raw meat.
Bake for 40 minutes, then spread another 1/3 of the sauce over the meatloaf. Bake another 20 to 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160ºF. Spread remaining sauce over meatloaf and cover loosely with foil tent. Let stand 10 minutes.
