An amazing 5 minute treat that’s amped up with Baileys liqueur. It’s one of the best coffee drinks you’ll ever have, just a few ingredients that work so well together. This Baileys Irish Coffee is also wonderful to serve on St. Patrick’s Day!
Preparation:
To cook:
Level: Easy
Serves: 1
Ingredients
- FOR THE CHANTILLED CREAM:
- 6 tbsp, 2 tsp, 4-⅝ pinches Cream
- 2 teaspoons Bailey’s Irish Cream
- FOR THE IRISH COFFEE:
- ½ tablespoon brown sugar
- 1-½ cup Hot coffee
- 1-½ ounce, liquid Irish whiskey
- ¾ ounce, liquid Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)
- Cocoa powder (for garnish)
Preparation
For the whipped cream:
Using a whisk or electric mixer, whip cream until almost soft but not quite (semi-whipped) peaks. Add Baileys and stir through the cream.
For Baileys Irish Coffee:
Heat a glass mug in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds, just so it’s nice and warm.
Add the brown sugar to the glass, then add the coffee, filling the cup just over 3 quarters full. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
From there, add the whiskey, Baileys and vanilla extract if you have it and stir. Spoon or slowly pour the semi-whipped cream over the top until the cup is filled to the top.
Dust lightly with cocoa powder if you wish to garnish the drink, then serve immediately.
