Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Butter without salt
- 2 cups Uncooked Jasmine Rice
- 1 Bay leaf
- 3 cups Water
- 1-½ tsp Salt
- 2 tablespoons Lime juice (about a large lime)
- ½ cups Fresh cilantro, chopped
Preparation
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the rice and add the bay leaf. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add water and salt. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes, or until moisture is absorbed.
Remove from fire. Let the rice stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and discard it.
Stir in lime juice and cilantro and serve.
