This deliciously rich chocolate ice cream is made with just a handful of ingredients in two easy steps and finished in an ice cream maker. So much tastier than store bought with only natural ingredients. My family and friends love this chocolate treat.

Ingredients
- ½ cups Sugar
- ¼ cups brown sugar
- 1 cup 2% or whole milk
- ½ cups Cocoa
- 4 Egg yolks
- 2 cups Heavy whipped cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Preparation
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, whisk together the sugar, brown sugar, milk and cocoa powder. Bring to a boil, whisking frequently and scraping the bottom of the pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks until pale. Add 2-3 tablespoons of hot cocoa liquid to the bowl of egg yolk, stirring well to combine. Repeat this procedure several times until you have added about 2/3 cup of the hot mixture to the egg yolks.
Whisk warmed egg yolks into chocolate mixture; stirring constantly. Cook until thickened without boiling. Remove from heat and allow to cool by first placing in an ice bath and then in the refrigerator; refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Whip heavy cream and vanilla. Then pour into your ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Check after 25 minutes.
