Ingredients
- 2 bunches kale
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Asafoetida (optional)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 225ºF. Wash all the kale and remove the main stem that runs through the middle of each leaf. Separate any large pieces of kale that would be too big for a bite.
Spread the kale on a baking sheet. Be sure not to overcrowd the sheet or the kale won’t crisp up properly. Drizzle the oil over the top of the kale, along with the remaining salt, pepper and spices. Massage everything into the kale for 1-2 minutes to coat well.
Bake for 20 minutes, then take out, flip each kale leaf and return to the oven to bake for another 20 minutes.
Take out of the oven when done cooking and enjoy your raw vegan kale chips!!
