- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1 whole Onion
- 6 slices Bacon diced
- ⅔ cups Ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Mustard
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 1-½ cup Milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups Strong grated cheese, divided
- 1 bag (Size 32 Os.) Tater Tots
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion. Stir in bacon, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper to taste. Add to prepared dish.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour little by little. Cook until they are golden. Stir in milk until completely blended. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in 1 ½ cups of cheese. Pour over meat mixture.
Place the tater tots over the cheese sauce. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.
