Here’s an old family favorite for the holidays, packed with sweetness, cinnamon and pecans. Enjoy!
- 2 books Sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
- ⅓ cups Butter
- ¾ cups brown sugar
- 1 cup Pecan nuts
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoons Ground black pepper
- 3 cups Miniature Marshmallows
Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
In a large saucepan, cover the sweet potato pieces with water. Bring to a boil then simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and place in a greased baking dish.
Garnish with slices of butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Garnish with marshmallows.
Bake in preheated oven until marshmallows are golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.
