Level: Easy
Ingredients
- 3 Egg whites
- 6 ounces, weight Brown Sugar Mold
Preparation
Separate the egg whites making sure there is no egg yolk in the bowl as this will prevent the whites from rising properly. Whisk the egg whites until frothy, then continue beating and gradually add the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture forms stiff peaks.
Pipe or pour the meringue onto a lined baking sheet. Bake at 250ºF (120ºC) for about 1 hour. If possible, turn off the oven and allow the meringues to cool in the oven. This will prevent cracks from forming as it cools.
Enjoy them as they are, or sandwich them with whipped cream, dip them in chocolate, serve them with ice cream… there are lots and lots of options!
