Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Chopped fresh sage
- 1 teaspoon Chopped fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 pound Minced pork
Preparation
In a large bowl, combine the herbs, garlic, sugar, salt and ground pork. Using a hand mixer, beat the ground pork until well blended.
To shape the patties, divide the ground pork mixture into 2-ounce portions. Shape the portions into balls then press gently with the palms of your hands. Do not press down hard or they will break and crack. Shape the patties by pressing down gently in the center and working from the center outward, swirl the patties in your hand as you shape them until they are even. Press down lightly in the center of the patty and push some extra meat to the edges. This will give you an even patty when cooked.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 2 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
Note: Freeze cooked patties in a single layer on a baking sheet. Transfer frozen patties to a resealable bag. Microwave for 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
