Cook:
Level: Easy
Ingredients
- 2 Big crunchy apples
- 1 Big Beet
- 1 piece (1/2 inch size) Ginger Root
- ½ cups Water
Preparation
Wash the apples, beetroot and ginger and cut them into large pieces. Put everything in the blender with the water. Cover blender and puree until extremely smooth.
Place a large sieve over a bowl slightly larger than the sieve. Pour the mash through the sieve and wait until most of the juice has drained into the bowl. Press the puree with a spatula to extract the rest.
Pour the fresh raw juice into a tall glass and enjoy!
Remarks:
1. This apple-beet-ginger juice will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator.
2. The leftover pulp can be used in a variety of ways: as baby food, in quick breads, or to infuse flavor into liquor for cocktails.
