Level: Easy
Ingredients
- 1 whole Egg white, beaten
- 1 teaspoon Frozen water
- 2 cups Whole cashew nuts
- ¾ cups Granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch Salt to taste
Preparation
Note: The trick to getting that candied effect on nuts is egg white. It adds awesome crunch and serves as a glue for seasoning.
Preheat oven to 250ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat egg white and water in a bowl until nice and fluffy. Add the nuts to the bowl, along with the sugar and spices, and mix well.
Arrange the nuts evenly on the baking sheet and place in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until everything starts to caramelize and become nice and toasty. Once that’s done, remove from the oven and slide these nuts into a serving bowl. Let cool about 5 minutes (if you can resist) and dig in.
