Ingredients
- 5 Peeled, cored and sliced Honeycrisp apples (see notes)
- 1 Lemon, juice (about 2 tablespoons)
- ¾ cups All purpose flour
- ⅔ cups brown sugar
- ⅓ cups Sugar
- 1-½ tsp Ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoons Ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoons Ground clove
- ⅛ teaspoons Salt
- ½ Butter, Cold
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray the bottom of a 9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Toss the apples with the lemon juice and place them in the bottom of a 9-inch casserole dish or a 9-inch pie dish.
In a food processor, combine the flour, brown sugar, sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves and salt. Pulse several times to combine. Add 1 tablespoon of butter at a time, pulsing between each tablespoon or until butter is fully incorporated.
Crumble over apples. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until very lightly browned. Serve hot.
