- 1 box (410g format) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 tablespoons Tahini
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 clove (Small) Garlic, Chopped
- ½ cups Coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric
- ⅛ teaspoons Cumin
- ⅛ teaspoons Cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
- ¼ teaspoons Black pepper
Preparation
Place the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil and garlic in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Add the paprika, turmeric, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper and stir in with a spoon. Pulse the hummus 2-3 times until the spices are well blended and the hummus is creamy and evenly colored. Pour into a small bowl and serve with your choice of sliced vegetables and crackers.
Notes: Add more cayenne pepper if you like the extra kick! If you find the hummus to be a bit thick, add about an additional tablespoon of coconut milk until you are happy with the consistency.
